We at the "Karuna Charitable Trust" are committed to the service of humanity, especially to those who are economically and socially disadvantaged in our society. Ours is a mission to do well without thought or expectation of reward or recognition, but with the hope of making a better world.

The Karuna Charitable Trust is a "Public Charitable Trust" and the "Charitable Purposes" are only those which are so regarded and approved for the purpose of the Income Tax Act 1961, and any statutory notifications or amendments thereto, and the scope of the objects are not restricted as to any religion, community, caste, locality and (the charitable purposes) shall include relief of the poor, education, medical relief and other philanthropic activities.

Vision

Our vision at Karuna Charitable Trust is to help all those who need help in any manner. We are specially concentrating on the underprivileged section of the Indian society by helping them financially and/or materially.

There are countless individuals and families in India who go hungry each day. There are students who are unable to further their studies because of financial constraints. There are farmers who are committing suicide because of poverty and inability to pay back their debts.

There are many who lack proper medical care because of lack of finances to buy medicines.

Rains and floods cause havoc in many parts of India each year rendering people homeless.

Numerous are the maladies in this developing country and we, at Karuna hope to make a visible change in these situations to the best of our abilities with the finances available to us.

Objectives

1)To establish, maintain or grant aid to homes for aged, orphanage or other establishments for the relief and help to the poor, needy and destitute people, orphans, widows and aged persons.

2)To establish and develop institutions for the physically handicapped and disabled or mentally retarded persons and provide them education, food, clothing or other help.

3)To establish, run and manage hospital or clinic, training of home nurses, health care Centre and to provide medical and other philanthropic help to needy poor people.

4)To organize public awareness conferences, meeting, discussions, conventions, seminars for the upliftment of the society irrespective of cast and creed.

5)To establish and manage Kinder gardens, Schools, Colleges, Vocational training Schools, Libraries, Reading room, Universities, Laboratories, Research Institution of the like nature in India, for use of the students and staff and also for the development and advancement of education and diffusion of knowledge amongst the public in general and support and grant/aid or other financial assistance or scholarship or award or stipend to deserving or eligible students.

6)To Print, publish, sell or distribute books, bulletins, periodicals, pamphlets or any other literary work and establish and mange radio or television stations or any IT enabled stations or site and establish any business activities necessary to attain this object without the motive of profit.

7)To do such other things or business for the spiritual and mental upliftment of unemployed youth including activities for women's liberation and counseling Centre.

Strategy

1)To accept donations and grants and other voluntary contributions and to deal with the same for the purpose of the association.

2)To invest, dispose off, transfer and otherwise deal with the subject of the association in such a manner that the trustees deem fit so as to enable the Trust to carry on the objectives of the association effectively.

3)To establish branches or units for similar objects of the Trust anywhere in India or abroad and get twinnage or affiliation for such branch/unit/ organization.

4)To effectively advertise the functionings of the Trust so that philanthrops may join in this cause of helping the needy and make this venture a success in the coming years.

1) Providing financial help to poor students to complete their studies.
2) Providing financial help for the sick (to buy medicines).
3) Providing free books, umbrellas and clothes for the poor.
4) Providing financial assistance to the poor who have no one to care for them.
5) Conduction of free Diabetic detection camps.
6) Conduction of free Peripheral arterial disease detection camps.
7) Conduction of free Hypertension detection camps.
8) Conduction of free Hyperlipidemia detection camps.
9) Providing free food to the poor who are admitted in Government Hospitals.
10) Providing free clothes and bedding to the poor in forest areas.
11) Providing financial support to orphanages.
12) Providing financial help to the poor to pay off debts.
13) Providing monetary support to help conduct marriages of the poor.
14) Providing free medicines to other charitable organizations.
15) Conduction of public awareness programs to help educate people regarding diseases like Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Heart Ailments, AIDS, Viral Fevers and Hepatitis B.

Support a child

The support-a-child program makes it possible for an individual to sponsor the cost of education or total living expense for one underprivileged child in India. The aim is to support this child financially till he completes college or vocational education and is able to support himself. You can become a sponsor for a child in India.

Supporters who make regular monthly donations are vital to Karuna Charitable Trust because they give us a clear idea of future income. This means we can help children today, and also plan our services for the coming months and years.
